Audrey’s practice is concentrated in the area of employment and labor law. Audrey’s 22 years of experience gives her the ability to offer practical and effective solutions to the day to day issues that arise in the employment arena. Audrey has worked extensively with clients on their existing policies and procedures to assure that they comply with federal, state, and local employment laws. Her goal is to reduce litigation by working with companies to create a culture that treats employees fairly and uniformly. Audrey has worked closely with directors of human resources to help manage risk and avoid litigation whenever possible.
Audrey aids employers of all sizes with employment-related issues including, but not limited to, background checks, drug testing, hiring and firing, employee handbooks, employment agreements and covenants, employee grievances, workplace investigations, wage and hour issues, reasonable accommodation, enforcement of covenants not to compete, separation and release agreements, whistleblower actions, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. Additionally, Audrey also works in the employment litigation field, routinely appearing before various administrative agencies, in mediations and arbitrations, and in state and federal court. Audrey has also handled appeals, including oral argument before the Seventh Circuit.
Audrey earned her law degree from Indiana University School of Law—Bloomington in 1999, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. During law school, Audrey served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies.
